The aim of the project ¡VAMOS! (Viable Alternative Mine Operating System) is the development and construction of an underwater robot for the mining of minerals in flooded open-cast mines.
In this Horizon 2020 project, ZfT is working on the development of a telematics interface for a remote-controlled underwater mining prototype. ¡VAMOS! is intended to develop a safe and clean mining technology with low visibility and to demonstrate the economic viability of mining previously inaccessible mineral deposits.
