SiNafaR - Safe Navigation for Autonomous Robotic Platforms


Until now, safety aspects have often stood in the way of the civilian use of autonomous mobile robots. However, if these can be met, new opportunities for marketing on a very large scale will arise.


Detailed project content

In addition, there is also a need for development on the technological side in order to meet the requirements in special application scenarios. For example, it is necessary to be able to provide robust and reliable integrated navigation and communication that allows the robot to operate safely at all times. In order to make this possible for potential users, appropriate human-machine interfaces must be developed that allow simple and error-free operation. In SiNafaR the necessary methods and procedures are being developed to enable the use of cooperating air and ground robots in civil applications.
