Student assistant (m/f/d)

to design a logistics concept. As an alternative to paid work, there is the possibility of writing a bachelor’s thesis.

A logistics concept (intralogistics) is to be created for the construction and testing of small satellites for the research factory currently under construction at the ZfT.

We are looking for a student specialising in logistics or business informatics. Previously completed dual technical training in an industrial company is an advantage.

The job includes the conception and implementation of a logistics system for the small series production of satellites in cooperation with the responsible employees of the institute. The task includes the selection of a labelling system (QR code), planning of storage aids such as shelves and boxes, conveying aids such as transport carts, as well as their organisation and procurement. Furthermore, the prerequisites for the connection to an ERP system for mechanised (per scan) additions and deductions are to be created.

The aim is to design a functioning, transparent intralogistics system.

Good basic knowledge of simple intralogistics including an understanding of ERP, practical relevance, a structured work style and the ability to work in a team are expected.

The job offers an insight into sophisticated technology within a prestigious project, the small series production of small satellites. The job offers the jobholder the opportunity to excel in the design of a complete concept of intralogistics in a manageable environment. As the job also involves organisational activities, the jobholder can also develop management skills. An early development of these non-technical skills is advantageous for a later responsible assumption of tasks in industrial companies.

The assistant position is scheduled for 30-50 h/month and will be remunerated at the standard salary rate of the University of Würzburg. Long-term employment is desired. The work is to be carried out at the Zentrum für Telematik e.V., Magdalene-Schoch-Str. 5, 97074 Würzburg (at Hubland Campus North, 2 min. walk from the Mensateria).
